Implementation of Argumentation Activities in Solid Pressure

Abstract

Research has been carried out at an 8th grade science and technology course about solid pressure topic in fall semester 2013-2014 academic year. Research has been completed in 2 science and technology lessons. The argumentation worksheets have been completed first individually and then as a group at the study. Firstly, worksheets have been performed as individually, then worksheets have been performed in a group of 4 students with scientific debate. Students have been asked to produce relevant claims and find justifications for their claims. After the study, students' misconceptions about solid pressure issue have been resolved.
