Alternative Models for Exploring Thermal Expansion of Solids and Liquids

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present alternative models for thermal expansion of solids and liquids on elementary students. In this study, the model representing thermal expansion of solids could be alternative for metal ring; the model representing thermal expansion of liquids could be the simple model for thermometers. Thus, while using these models it is expected that students could more understand the thermal expansion of solids and liquids.
