"Context Based Learning" Approach and Contexts For Biology Lesson

Abstract

Throughout the world, over the past 20 years or so, education has faced a number of inter-related problems: Overload, Isolated Facts, Lack of transfer, Lack of relevance, inadequate emphasis. Encourage of elimination of these problems caused to developing of context based learning that a kind of constructivism that provide to construct of knowledge by getting students in center. A major address to these problems has been through the use of “context materials” as the basis for curriculum design and classroom teaching. In this study, context based learning approach was introduced and context materials about virus, bacteria and fungus in general biology course were developed and applied by researcher.
